About Me
My name is Julie and I have been teaching Pilates for over twenty years.
I found Pilates after a back injury – the practice got me out of pain and
strong again so I decided to explore it further with teacher training in
order to share with others.
I initially trained with Body Control Pilates as a matwork teacher. I went
on to qualify in the Classical Pilates Method with Contrology Pilates
Method and then an extensive apprenticeship with Centre for Spatial
Medicine, the first Pilates training to combine the field of fascial anatomy
with Joseph Pilates original method.
I can help you identify unhelpful movement patterns and form better
ones; using simple breathing techniques and increasing postural
awareness – even small changes can create powerful shifts with the
body and mind.
